Note: I am in the process of credentialing with Aetna, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan. If you are network with one of these insurances I can offer a reduced rate until I am able to bill through your insurance.

Upon request I can provide a superbill to submit to your health insurance company for reimbursement. The amount reimbursed (if any) will depend on the health plan. I suggest that you call your insurance provider to find out if they offer “out-of-network” coverage for my services.
Here are some questions that you may want to ask your insurance:
What is my out-of-network deductible for outpatient mental health visits?
How much of my deductible has been met this year?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
Can I use a Health Savings Account or a Flexible Spending Account to cover the cost of sessions provided by a licensed mental health counselor?
Do I need a referral from an in-network provider or a primary care physician to see someone out-of-network?
How do I submit claims for out-of-network reimbursement?
Are virtual outpatient mental health visits (or teletherapy) covered by my plan?

I offer a sliding scale for the uninsured and the underinsured in an attempt to increase access to therapy.
Individual Therapy Rates:
Tier 3: $220
Tier 2: $180
Tier 1: $40-$70through Open Path Collective
Couples Counseling Therapy Rates
Tier 3: $250
Tier 2: $200
Tier 1: $80through Open Path Collective
This model is built on community support—If self-pay clients have the ability to pay more, they are encouraged to do so. Their wealth will be redistributed to my sliding scale, allowing me to work with more lower- income individuals.
I ask for honesty in this process. If you're interested in a sliding scale spot, take a moment to assess where you fall financially and reach out with a proposed rate. See “Sliding Scale/ Reduced Fee Information”.
Regardless of the rate you pay, you will receive the same quality of care, compassion, and commitment.
Please note that I have limited lower-fee sliding scale spots. I reserve lower-fee sliding scale spots for individuals from historically marginalized communities who have limited earning power.
Additionally, I recognize that financial circumstances change over time. If your situation shifts, we can revisit your rate to ensure you continue receiving the care you need while maintaining a sustainable practice for both of us.
If I do not currently have availability at your requested rate, I am happy to provide referrals to other accessible resources.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice before your appointment via phone, email, or text.
Cancellations and rescheduled sessions made within 24 hours of your appointment are subject to the full session fee and your card on file will be charged automatically. Please note that insurance does not cover these fees.
Emergency Cancellations: Each client is allowed one late cancellation (with less than 24 hours' notice) per year at no charge in cases of emergencies, sudden illnesses, or other unforeseen circumstances.
For current clients: additional details about this policy can be found in the informed consent form.

For those who are considering the utilizing self- pay, the Green Bottle framework provides a way to reflect on financial privilege and constraints. It takes into account more than just income, considering the broader financial picture that shapes our lived experiences. Please use it as a guide to determine what you can reasonably invest in therapy while balancing your other financial responsibilities.
For individuals considering Tier 1 cost, I utilize Open Path Collective, a nonprofit which to serves clients in financial need seeking affordable therapy. If you are interested in this options please reach out to them to learn more about your eligibility.
After considering what best reflects your financial situation and determining whether you have out-of-network benefits, reach out to me.
